Operating instructions for Aluminium mobile staircase
Health & Safety – Before First Use: Receive guidance from a staff member.
PLEASE FOLLOW THE BELOW PROCEDURE.
- Before moving the stairs make sure the wheel brakes are off and all the jack legs are off the ground.
- Check the area is clear and no-one is in the way before you manoeuvre the stairs into position with the left side of the platform lining up with the doors of the unit.
- Check that the stairs are close up to your unit.
- Before climbing – apply the brakes, unscrew the yellow handles on the jacks, allowing front legs to drop down and side jack legs to extend out. Re-tighten the yellow handles.
- Pull the metal ring to drop the side jacks into a vertical position, ensuring they lock into place, then lower using the red handle until firmly on the ground. Make sure not to start lifting the stairs off the ground.
- You can then use the stair by holding onto the hand rails. Once on the platform unclip the safety chains and move to one side to avoid a tripping hazard.
- Open and close your unit as normal.
- Once finished return the safety chains to original position.
- Reverse the process as before, making sure all the legs are off the ground and tightened and the brakes are off.
- Return stairs to parked position and apply brakes.
- Wear flat shoes only.
- Adults only – no children or pets please.
